Lance Hopegill, CFP

Prior to joining United Community, Lance was Vice President of Charter Investment Advisor, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor located in Orlando, Florida. While at Charter, Lance served as the lead portfolio manager and assisted clients with estate and retirement planning.  Lance was with Charter Investments for 18 years until the company was acquired by Seaside Bank & Trust in 2014. As Senior Fiduciary Officer at Seaside/UCBI, Lance is responsible for interpreting and applying all developments in federal and state statutes and regulations to the daily business activity of our fiduciary accounts. Lance serves as a resource to clients and internal partners on estate planning matters, Wealth Management services, and fiduciary policies and procedures.  He interacts with clients and their advisors in coordinated and sophisticated estate and financial planning matters and is actively involved in the new business development activities of the department. In addition to his fiduciary duties, Lance serves as a member of the Wealth Management Investment Policy Committee.  Lance has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida.  He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
